Are any of the respiratory illness's contagious.
I have a yb went missing for 5 days. Has been back a week and Ive got the yellow stains on the walls around his perch.
Starting to see it around a few other perches now too.
I thought that with a dowelled front to my loft I wouldnt suffer any respiratory illness as it is constantly open.
So not sure if its the loft or this bird has brought it back.

Very good response from Devo, in the second short video the vet states clearly that the construction of the loft is important. If the loft environment is good, dry, plenty of air, no draughts, there is less chance of respiratory disease becoming a problem.
However if you have one that is infected, probably better you isolate it if you can and treat it.
As the vet said, it is best to minimize the use of antibiotics. Avoid medicating all your pigeons because one is sick.
