🤣😂🤣. Agree that things aren’t built to last nowadays. Had to buy a new washing machine yesterday. Old one was only just over a year and a half old. But is used every day and often 2 or 3 loads per day.

No, things ain't like they used to be.
That said, I have a cheap little Chinese lawn mower I bought about 8 or 10 years a go. Being an el cheapo I didn't think it would last long, so it got no care at all. No oil, no spark plug, nothing. After about 5 years I realised that it always started first pull and just kept going.
So I tipped the grey sludge that was the oil out, filled it up with clean oil, ran it for 20 minutes and repeated. Washed out the air filter, put a new spark plug in it and washed it down.
Now I change the oil a couple of times a year and it goes first time every time.
Just a good one, I guess. :D

Andy my last two washing machines packed up a day after the guarantee expired the second one was the bearings, fortunately I had an extended warranty with domestic and general and it was rebuilt same with my tumble dryer, had to replace my fridge freezer earlier on this year but that was about 8 years old
