Oatmeal.

When out shopping today I went to the rice section at the supermarket. They spell it Supermarket, but I would beg to differ.
On the shelves were more brands, types, varieties and flavours of rice than you might imagine.
What I wanted was a small, or even a medium size bag of brown rice. No, out of stock.
So I had a think and said "oatmeal". I must have said it out loud, because my wife and another young woman with a small child in a shopping trolley looked at me.
"Oatmeal", I repeated to my wife, hoping that proving I was supervised would calm the young woman.
If they had no brown rice, in one of the biggest rice producers in the world
I figured that some oats might be a source of quickly digested carbohydrates.
I found some, labelled "Breakfast oats".
When I got home I put about a big dozen raw peanuts and a heaped tablespoon of the 'Breakfast oats' in the small blender, whizzed them up and tipped them into 3 cups of grain mix. Squeezed a fish oil capsule on it and shook it.
I had kicked the Youngstars, the small youngsters, and a few stock pigeons who happened to be in the way out for a quick fly.
When they dropped in they attacked the feed with gusto.
It might not make them go any better, but it smelt alright
