I see a code red emergency is in place in the UK because of the expected high temperatures.

We are used to it here, and most houses have air conditioning and are designed for the heat. I understand Air Con is not a common thing in homes over there, it's not usually needed.

Please take care if these very hot days do happen in your areas. Drink lots and stay inside or in the shade.

You are right Murray we aren't set up for extreme temperatures over here !!! I don't particularly like the sun at the best of times and tend to follow the shade when I can, it's been hideous to work in so I'm really not looking forward to Monday and Tuesday it does make you laugh though that they have to make everything so dramatic, once upon a time we would have called a heatwave summer

It’s going to be hot and could break records but it’s only for 3 days. Come Wednesday it’s back down to the low 20s and forecast to be so for the following week or so.
