So true. I try to clean out while the birds are out of the loft. The other day, like you said, I had it all scraped up into a pile when 2 cocks started fighting in front of me and blew the feathers everywhere.

If my neighbours heard me moaning at my birds every time they blew the feathers around they'd have called the men in white suits

I have couple corners where they gather naturally so I leave these until last, as soon as I pull them out into open the buggers start flapping and off they go up in the air floating all about then

I feel your pain mate the lowest nest boxes are always full of feathers

Thankfully they are slowing down now and not as many feathers last couple days
