Yes George. The eye does change with age. It will get darker, the colour more pronounced, and more open as they get older. That looks a nice eye George.

eyes of 4 ybs 10 and 11 are from a hen bred by Pete one is from a checker cock nestmate to 14 it will go there is nothing i like about him he is the first eye this is the right eye number 11

All nice eyes again George, I would say they still have a bit more developing yet and will probably get brighter and stronger. As you say number 1 is definitely the weakest and for me number 4 is the strongest, are 2 and 3 the same bird mate ???

Four nice eyes George. All have a good wide inner circle and room in the iris. I think the fourth one is the best.

Trev never really bred from him as he was paired to a old hen she has now gone he will go to a hen that has been raced bred by Pete next year
