Sorry George I know you emailed me that eye but I haven’t responded yet.
It is a very nice eye. The inner circle is quite wide and a nice violet colour. There is a bit of light shading between 1 o’clock and 6 o’clock. The circle of colouration is a violet and can be seen going out to the outer edge of the eye. This is because the iris has plenty of room in it.
That is the trouble with young bird eyes. They do take a long time to develop.

A lovely looking bird George, I'm glad you are trying him out, I hope he proves your decision right 🤞🤞
I have to say deep keels have never worried me, they quite often muscle up and fill out out nicely as they develop I've got a couple here that are coming ok for me but each to their own, we all have our own personal likes and dislikes.

Most of those I remember had filled out by the end of their yearling stage, I think it just takes them a little longer to muscle up properly. I have a yearling cock from the late Laurie Everett that was very deep as a youngster, he was only lightly raced as a youngster but was pushed a bit more this year flying Guernsey with the BICC twice being my first bird 2nd time out. He has really made up well this year and I think he will do well on the North next season. I also had a nice Blue youngster this year who was again very deep keeled out of some birds from Rich (Bryn) he had most youngbird races and was 14th Fed from our last race, sadly the bloody Sparrow hawk had him 😡😡😡
