The big lie

Several years ago I went to Singapore on a business junket. It is a brilliant place! :D Awesome.
But for some obvious reasons, it has been described as " Disneyland with the death sentence". People in Singapore are very law abiding.
But on one trip with some fellow travelers, we ended up in a video show, which showed that the planet was going down the gurgler, unless we all were sterilized and ate tofu. Produced and presented by the government of Singapore.

Some years later, that has proven to be wrong. :D :D
The panic was driven by the theory, based on, well, nothing, that the planet would get hotter and hotter and hotter and dryer and dryer......... :o
It hasn't.
In fact, in Australia, which is a BIG place, the temperatures have been just a tiny bit lower than the long term average over the last 12 months.
Rainfall has been well above average over much of the country, resulting in some serious flooding.

My wife and I drove for hundreds of miles out through the north west of Victoria yesterday. Millions and millions of acres of cropping land, and millions and millions of tonnes of grain harvested. Some of the best crops EVER.

The warmists are becoming alarmed and grumpy. They have a lot invested in this. The weather not doing as they want is causing some conflict.

The simple answer is, the climate change people have confused 'climate' with 'weather'.

I suppose it could affect different parts of the world in different ways. The weather is different here than it was years ago. We had the record breaking temperatures during a very dry spell during the summer. The wettest December on record now a cold spell. But I do agree that far too much is made of it all.

I quite agree Muzza, all these global warming theories drive my potty 🤯🤯
Weather patterns have changed since the beginning of time and will continue to do so for centuries to come, nature will also find a way to redress the balance as long as we don't keep interfering with it. Having been in farming we have seen all these dry, wet and cold spells before and will see them all again too and we always survive.
