Went into one of the sections this morning and most of eggs either broke in bowls or on floor broke, on a good note one pair of the latebreds has laid first egg so fingers crossed on that

I know you didn’t select your pairs like I have. But that’s why I like to get all pairs out before any eggs are laid.

They have been fine Andy I opened the pipo boxes weeks ago in preparation and only put bowls in last week, giving plenty time to settle and what I did was open the boxes to the pairs already in that side and shut other side out

That's a shame, Buster.
Hopefully they will settle down on the next round and you get a good hatch.

It does seem strange that you have had that when your preparation has been right. Never had pipo boxes. Do you think they could be part of the problem? Especially if you had pairs in both sides before opening them up.

Could well be but not really had issues this bad before, but in saying that not used them for breeding this way in years usually let them just use one side but gets a bit squashed as you can imagine babies then mom and dad and sometimes next round of eggs, I did it this way as I wanted to make sure babies were good enough for you and Trev
Some of them I would have taken eggs from and put under others that I was going to use as sitters (my older stock that I usually breed from)
