Had the first 6 hens lay this evening. Paired up 8 days ago. So good to see them laying quickly. Should have more over the next few days.

I had another 9 hens lay today. Including a 9 year old hen that I got from Rich in 2017. So in 2 days I have had over half of the hens lay. 4 out of 8 in one section and 10 out of 16 in the other. I have also had 1 hen lay in the young bird section where I have the “spare” birds in. I have put some nest bowls on the floor in that loft.

I found an egg this morning on a perch shoved it under an older hen she sitting it tight so hopefully fingers crossed will get a baby from it

I had 5 more lay yesterday. So only 5 left to go down now.
