Over a week ago I had a baby in a bowl on floor the parents are the late bred pair whose last baby got killed, I was in there scraping out and seen the yampy hen as I call her standing over it pecking sh++ out of it's head, this after finding it in middle floor couple times prior any way I moved the hen out and things going fine until lat Thursday when I seen another couple sitting the baby this pair have now took over the nest of the latebreds and the baby and attack the parents if they go anywhere near the nest

It is surprising what they will do sometimes. I have an old hen in with the young birds and she will feed anything that wants feeding. She is paired up and sitting on pot eggs on the floor. She has a weaned youngster that shares the bowl with her at night.

Oh yes. We don't what goes on in their heads at times. I do believe it is a hierachical thing.
A dominant pair can attack anything which they think is trying to invade their space. In a loft, of course, that means every other bird. Especially a squeaker that gets down on the floor.
This is another reason why I want every pigeon flying out, every day.
There's nothing like an hour tearing around with the young birds, followed by a bath in the sun, to take the acid out of an old cock bird. They are generally happy to have their dinner and not be attacking a small youngster that is on the floor.

They are very unpredictable creatures and can be so different in their individual behaviours, as you say some birds will mother anything while others will attack anything. They can actually be very disloyal and change partners on a wim and can be quite nasty too.
