This morning i had a 3yo black pied hen return from Huntingdon. Must 6 weeks, she has been missing. Razor thin, filthy and evidence of a hawk attack. Hopefully she will have a good moult and go again next year.

Lovely to see them return regardless of how long they’ve been missing. Sounds like she has a good reason for not getting back earlier. Hope she picks up quickly and makes a full recovery.

Good to hear Les, I hope she recovers well. I've had a few work back that have been absolutely done in, most have recovered well but I have a 4 year old cock who is taking some time to pick up, not sure he'll ever race again. I was going through my perspective Perth birds this evening and found that one of my Hexhqm birds (a 5 year old cock) has some new feathers growing just above his tail so he obviously took a hit at some point, he was going to go to Perth but I'm not sure now !!
