Do occasionally see the odd ones with rings on among the feral’s but not many. I think most of the missing racing pigeons are deceased for one reason or another.
I've often thought the same thing Dev, I've spent ages in town centres and parks trying to see the odd one with a ring on but I could probably count on one hand how many I've seen over the years. I guess the harsh reality of it is that very few domesticated pigeons actually survive.
Yes Trev, the birds that visit me daily, are all in good nick. i give them a mixture of fat balls, chopped brown seeded bread and some peanuts.Trev wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 8:49 pmI've often thought the same thing Dev, I've spent ages in town centres and parks trying to see the odd one with a ring on but I could probably count on one hand how many I've seen over the years.
