I had an eventful and expensive trainer this morning. I took all 23 youngsters further this morning. Around 18 miles. It was very misty in the low parts and I had to go through some quite dense patches. It was fine at home and with the sun out I know it would burn off quite quickly. Where I decided to let them go it was a bit higher and lovely and sunny and clear. I let them go at 6.55am. Very little wind. They came out quickly and flew up really high. They circled a couple of times that I could see but then they went so high that I lost sight of them. I phoned Roxanna to let her know that they were on their way. On the way home I hit something on the road and blow a tyre. I had to pull over and change the wheel. The funny thing was that while I was changing a wheel another car passed me with exactly the same problem so had hit the same thing that I had hit. The spare wheel is one of those space saver wheels. I then phoned Roxanna to tell her I was back on my way home and she told me that all the youngsters had arrived together at 7.25am. So quicker today than the last 3 days from twice the distance lol. The wheel is having a new tyre fitted but as at present I only have the narrow spare on the car I won’t be able to train tomorrow. Partly due to having the spare on and also I couldn’t afford to get another puncture with no spare. I dread to think what the new tyre is going to cost as the Ford Kuga have large wheels. Will get it back tomorrow. The weather forecast isn’t very good for the next week. I will try to get one more in if possible before the first race the following weekend but am happy with what they have done this week. They have had 4 tosses and I started with 23 and ended with 23 with just the one being late from the first one. The first 2 races are only 34 miles for me so would be happy to send them even if I don’t get any other trainers in.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

Good to see they going well mate maybe the further distance suited them better, not really much difference between 18 and 34 so I would be same mind as you, shame about the puncture I took our car in for a diagnostic check 2 weeks ago whilst they out on a test drive they got a puncture and so bad tyre could not be repaired and had to have a new tyre on

Good to hear that the birds made it home quick enough, it's a shame you and the car didn't 😬😣😉 you've only had that car a couple of weeks 😬
I agree with Buster that they should be fine jumping straight in to the first race now 👍😁
