Had one reported today
I had a message from the RPRA today saying that I had a youngster reported by a non fancier with a phone number and email. It was a pigeon lost the weekend 19th August from Littlehampton. She had flown the first 3 races. It was a strange number. When I phoned it it went through to voice mail. The message was in English. When looking on google it appears that the number is from Holland. I have sent an email. How she ended up over 300 miles away is the opposite direction I don’t know. I will have to wait to see if I ge a reply. The RPRA states that I must make contact with the finder within 2 days and arrange collection. Don’t know how I’m supposed to do that lol.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

I had one reported in Holland before. Never did get a reply!
Living in Brighton & Sunny Sussex.
Judging by the velocities our Fed winners were doing in Eastbourne that weekend there was certainly plenty of west in it Andy, there were also a lot of showers around which of course could have driven them anywhere !!
Hopefully you will be able to contact who has your bird, the biggest problem is the fact that it's a non fancier !!
Is there no way you can contact a union over there so they could get a local fancier to collect it as they would over here.
Not sure you'll be seeing that bird again unless by some chance it decides to make it's own way back once the wind changes.
I've had old birds reported over there before when they been racing from Scotland but never a youngbird. I've also had a fair few continental birds come into me over the years and every one has left on it's own eventually. You would be surprised how many Dutch and Belgian people speak English. Many of them better than we do!
I regularly correspond with Dutch champion Ad Schaerlaeckens. He has been a journalist on pigeon magazine De Duif for decades, and speaks perfect English, although filtered through a Dutch mind.
I hope you can sort this out and get the little duif back home.
