just watched 2 video one on the wing and one on the eye the one on the wing how to pick a good bird don't mention the eye the one on the eye don't mention the wing
Myself the wing will give you an indication, of the distance of the bird will be good to fly at, But the eye gives more towards breeding of the bird's future breeding potential.
I think both play their part in evaluating a pigeon. I haven’t paid much attention to the wing so don’t really know what the theory of it is. I always open the wing to look at the flights but other than that not much else. The eye I do look at more, although my eyes aren’t that good now so struggle to see them properly. I don’t use it to decide on what distances the birds might do or whether they see breeders or racers. I think there is a difference between a breeding eye and a racing eye I use it for breeding and when pairing pigeons up as I think they need to compliment each other.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
