First time
Over here Murray you are only allowed to tow a caravan up to 7 meters x 2.5 meters. Anything larger has to go on a trailer. The larger “caravans” at holiday parks are more of mobile homes.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
We almost bought one there last year we did have one on Happy Days in Ingomelds but they ripped us off and I took them to trading standards and got money back

Yep. A big V8 petrol, and with a trailer on you wouldn't get even that.

A lot of people use things like Toyota 4x4's or Nissan Patrols with the big turbo diesels in them.
We aren't just going 50 or 100 miles here. People often do a trip around Australia.
And, even though fuel is expensive, it's still the cheapest bit. People spend $200,000 and upwards on a high quality caravan which can go off sealed roads, and a strong tow vehicle. They drive around the Continent, and after a major service they could turn around and do it again!

Greetings from the land down under.
