Stayed dry today, and the work was done in front of my garden gates. So Maria was able to go out today.

Yes George, that fence looks completely had it.
I don't know about over there, but here and in NZ the cost of erecting and repairing fences is a joint thing between the owners. Usually price to do it is agreed between the parties, but if one side will not co operate you can do the work and send them half the bill.

Same here Murray in many ways except half the tossers here wouldn't pay a penny to it or lift a finger to help, also you are responsible for the left side and others are shared
