Still raining here had some heavy periods of it but light at present and getting colder

Raining all day, to make matters worse. We have a leak on stopcock under the sink. And we can not switch water off outside, there is damage to the connection, from last weeks water pipe damage outside my house. Water board are sending someone out between 4 pm and 8 pm today.
