The men from the power company came to replace the old wooden pole on Monday. Four big trucks with cranes and hoists and augers and equipment. About a dozen blokes with hard hats and Hi Vis. Lots of pointing and arm waving. The foreman, or 'Team Leader' came across and asked if we were aware of the interruption to supply. I told him if that means you are turning the power off, then yes, I am aware. :D
We were going into town to do some shopping, so I assured him it would be no inconvenience at all.
When we got home, the big concrete pole was lying there, they had packed up and gone! Haven't seen hide nor hair since! :lol:
