Last month on January 15th we were charged £115 26 for the gas bill for the month. Then £62. 42 for the electric bill. so a month goes by and this month on the 16th of Feb, we are charged £224 84 for gas and £124.62 for the Elec monthly bill. There are only 2 of us at home, so from £56.00 credit and monthly direct debit of £222.24 we are now in £76.43 debit.. My brother pays £45,00 in Spain, for his monthly bill.

The price is coming down for both at present. I took out a 4 year contract for our electric which runs out in November this year. We are paying a very low rate compared to what we would have been if paying a non contact price. I have been being contacted regularly by companies looking for me to do a forward contract after this one runs out. I have told them all that I am not going to renew until later in the year as I think the price is going to fall more. Already the price I’m being offered now is about 5p a unit less than they were offering back in November.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
