We went into Bendigo today, and I remembered to take the camera. I stopped to take a picture of an old chook shed at Burnt Creek, about a quarter of an hour down the Dunolly Road.

Looks very dry there. I presume that was in a better condition when you left?

[Murray]

No, it's not very dry for this area. When you drive along there is a lot of green across the countryside, and the stock have plenty of feed.
I hasn't rained here since Christmas, other than a few showers, but we are in the beginning of Autumn today. The country is is in great order for when the season changes and we get some rain.

It's Lent, and the local Catholic community are celebrating the Stations of the Cross.
A local visited us and after a bit of awkward conversation explained why they had called and asked if we we Christians.
I assured her we are, but at the other end of the scale, we are Pentecostals.
We did have a nice conversation after that, she stayed for ages and we learned a lot more about the area. We were invited to join them across the street, and I might have, just because, but Catherine is a bit more down the line.

It does all sound and look very nice there mate, I guess in some ways you will be sorry to move on !!

No, Trev, we are very fortunate, we have made some contacts in St Arnaud already. We have struck up a conversation with the senior constable there, and his son is in business as a builder specialising in renovations. We are only moving about 25 miles, and just keep making new contacts.
