We will have to be patient and see how she comes along.
Sad though, nice little pigeon.
Life in Bendigo.
Last year my good mate David had a yearling cock, a Heremans, which won several races on end, and was first or second every week for weeks on end.
A very good pigeon.
The pigeon paired up with his own sister. David took a round and then, one day he arrived with a baby off them, with my ring on it. (We swapped rings a bit), and announced that he would be a stock pigeon.
Awesome. Except he was a hen.
Undeterred, he gave me the nest mate. I tried to say no, it was too much, but he would not hear of it.
It was an ordinary baby, nice, but aren't most of them?
Then he sort of went long and plain for a while. That should have been the giveaway. My best pigeon ever went long and plain for a while.
All of a sudden he was like a butterfly emerging

He is only 6 months old.
He is one of those birds that you pass by on first glance. The white flight Jos Thone' is the one that takes the eye at first, but then you look at the head of the other one.

Anyway, I think he is a good one.
Every time I see David, ( that's several times a week, he is a customer), I ask, "Can I race that pigeon?.
"NO!" he says.
It's a running joke now.
I have been sooo tempted to train him. Every time I see David, ( that's several times a week, he is a customer), I ask, "Can I race that pigeon?.
"NO!" he says.
It's a running joke now.
