Been like this up our neck of the woods for best part of 30 years. Percentage wise first light training is what we've found safest but even then you will get hit from time to time. Seems like their just about everywhere now.
I know its hard when training the birds, and time is important. Do members change times of training the birds? i know if you're using a training transporter its a set time for pick up. But when training yourself, i think it is much better to change times and location. Just my thoughts on when i trained my birds.

Had a yearling back at 6am looks like he may have gone to ground as his condition isn’t great but least he got home
Good he is back, hope others get home as well
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud

Had the odd hit but this has destroyed me you do well to keep going
How do you take 4 of the first 5 in the fed send them back next week and never see 2 again it’s all new to me
If I have 18 cocks normally I get 15/16 to pick from in July
This year I had 21 cocks I have 14 left 2 of them are finished 4 fed winners gone before 150 miles

Thing is Devo I don’t train I only went Sunday and yesterday as I didn’t send Saturday that’s first toss since April
I thought it would be ok as I was t expecting it plus it was 430pm I just thought they had all day to hunt and if I’m honest I didn’t really expect it as this area has not really been hit like others
