This is an old favorite of mine.

This is The Diver, who was bred in the first year I had my loft in Bendigo.
His father is a Wonderboy Jansen x Van de Rhee Jansen. His mother is a Van Loon X Van de Rhree Jansen.

As a youngster he had three short races preparing to go across Bass Strait to Tasmania. He won them all, the first one by an hour in what was a smash race. The club lost interest in the idea after three races and turned North, and I just retired him before a falcon got him.

Lovely old pigeon. Half human  He's been paired to the same old Van Loon hen for years. When we move I will give him a young mate. I've plenty of young hens, and one springs to mind. I have a nest mate pair of hens, 2 year olds, Heremans x Gaby Vandenabeele. One of those might be just the ticket.
He's 12, and hasn't left much for a few years but he's very healthy, and with a young mate he could have a renaissance. :D

Yep, that's Diver. That picture is a couple of years old, but he's still looking a treat.
