Is that Nigel Easton Neil ?? I don't know him but as you say he is always there or there abouts.
Some excellent birds and performances again by all.

Sorry that my reports have been a bit sketchy, those of you who are interested that is 😉🤠, hopefully things will settle down soon and get to the new normal !!
Last week we were at Rugby, it was a tough race with strong winds and heavy rain on route but as always there were some excellent performances. At close of play I was just one late bred missing, he was having his first ever race. He was reported in Alfold on the Sunday, the fancier who had him took him to Portsmouth during the week but sadly he's not made it home.
This is our result.

This is the Federation result.
Well done all.

Yesterday we were at Kelso, it was a warm day with a Westerly wind most of the way down. I'd sent 15, I had 11 home at close of play yesterday and one on the loft at 6.45 this morning.

The provisional Fed top 10, as things stand it looks like our Fed could well top the Combine too, so very well done to Billy Gardener, our Danny Porter and all those in the result, John Bonwick could take the Nom too.

No, you need to get your act together and get this stuff up on time every time. This is important, there are fortunes at stake every week.
I assume I will not have to mention this again.....

Just out of interest, following on from another post by Neil, the first 8 birds in the result are all hens !!!

Well done all.

It looks like Bill will be 2nd Combine too 👏👏
Which again goes with another post on wind direction, there was a westerly wind last week, the Combine winner is from Leigh Park in the Solent Federation, in the West, Bill is one of our most easterly fliers !!!

This is our combine result which clearly shows that the westerly wind made little difference to the result !! This is just a preliminary result and only has the top 5 birds from each federation shown, it will change when the full result is out.

I sent 16 birds to Rugby today with the Sussex North Road Federation, our penultimate race. They were liberated at 9.30 with no wind given on site, it was going to be hot so we weren't expecting them too quickly. I thought 2.5 to 3hrs would be ok, I was going through my youngsters so was in the garden in plenty of time. I started looking properly just before half past eleven, ever hopeful that I'd get an early one lol 😂
At Just after 11.45 a bird came from over the house behind me, wings folded and barely touched the loft before whe was through the trap and was on the clock at 11.18. She was the hen that won the club for me last year as a youngster so I was quite happy with her time, I had to wait until 12. 01 before another little hen arrived and then at 12.08 I had 4 arrive together. It turned out to be a funny race with birds turning up all through the afternoon, I had 13 when I took the clock out and 15 by the time I went to the club, my last bird was home when I got in from the club. As it turned out the winning birds were clocked just over the 2hr mark and the spoils this week once again go to Alan Still who took the first 6 again, it looks likely that he will also take first 6 in the federation.
This our Club result.

Ignore the race point, it should have been Ilkston but the federation voted to change it to Rugby as there were fears that we wouldn't get enough birds to make it viable.
Now I have to decide how many birds are going to Crieff on Wednesday 🤔🤔
I was originally going to send everything that was fit enough, but as most of my birds have already flown either Hexham, 290miles or Kelso, 339miles I'm not sure about pushing some of the yearlings on !!
