The race closes at 220 ypm. It's a long way from closed yet for many. And the further you fly the longer it will stay open.
Tarbes NFC
I'm sure there will be more birds home than are showing. When I look at the prov result it's only fanciers first birds now getting added or the very long flyers. Mark Gilbert surely must have more than 3/70 now.
He had 7 I believe yesterday late afternoon
I see one chap on the south coast had 3
In the first 20/25
I also thought the D Nichols pigeon was good out to the west

We timed 7 pigeons on the winning day at 12.10, 14.10, 15.00, 18.07, 19.05, 20.28 and 20.34 and should all figure in the first 100 of the result. All our pigeons were on widowhood.
The race turned out to be an absolute grueller and from 69 pigeons sent (largest percentage yearlings) we got another 8 next day to make a total of 15 home. So much for getting the yearlings schooled for next years internationals.

Still time for more to return. They often learn a lesson having time out. I recall one of my yearlings taking a couple of weeks from the 500 mile race. She won from 418 miles the following year.Trev wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:26 pmBlimmy that is a chokerMIL wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 9:25 pm Mark Gilbert update 5 hours ago
