Looks a bit tricky Saturday

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Sorry king
Is that right 1509 to 1285 ? You said a decent race
That’s a awful drop in velocity for 30 birds
It's a small Fed over a decent area. Whilst your right it's not a trapping match, it's a decent race compared to what the Fed and other Feds have been having.
There are only 3 types of YB race. Excellent, Decent or Disaster. Some could argue there are only 2. Good or bad.

If I show you a result your eyes would pop out
Brian hawes can put 20-30 in within one drop and still often his birds are split the velocity’s dont drop like that one mate

That's good racing. But you can't just compare different locations like for like. A fancier could have a pack drop together which would reduce the vel between 1st & 30 or 40. The number of birds sent makes a difference, like wise the number of members sending.
My local Fed is less than a 3rd of the Worcester Fed. The gap between the first 30 the week before was over a 100 yds less. I stand by what I said, for MY area the race yesterday was a decent race. I've seen Fed results in the past of large Feds that have had a bad race but you wouldn't have said it from the Fed result.

The Worcester Fed lads would not call that good racing

It's how the "team" perform that determines if its a good race

45/50 in quickish time or is a "good race"

It's good value for money Neil - goes a long way

One big problem fanciers have each YB season is with YB Sickness

I've helped Phil since March 2022

No sickness in 2022, no sickness in 2023, no sickness yet in 2024 (and he won't have it either)

Is he just lucky? Or is something else going on?

You tell me
