Great news for David, great flying from him ans his birds Murray.
Life in Bealiba.
Thanks Andy.
I will admit that a week or two ago I said out loud that I wished I had never laid eyes on the place.

It's been too long, too hard and too expensive, and we are too old for this.

But there has been an unexpected benefit.
I have had to do quite a lot of work over the last month or so. Today I started the mower and spent a bit over an hour and a half mowing around this place so it's nice and tidy when we leave. Had a sit down and a cold beer, then cleaned the last of the garden tools and stuff out of the shed and cleaned the mower.
I am feeling and looking fitter than I have for a while. I've lost weight and have more energy. I am nearly 70 and I'm supposed to be dying of lung disease.
Maybe next year

Greetings from the land down under.
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for verily, he shall not be disappointed.

My congratulations to David

That is good news, hope you settle in quickly and the birds love it and settle not forgetting pussies as wellMurray wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 7:58 amApologies for not replying, Andy, but the last few days have been a bit of a blur...![]()
We will be moving into the cottage on Thursday, ready or not! It is like a bomb has gone off, there is stuff everywhere, still no bathroom, but all the plumbing is replaced and ready, and the boys go in tomorrow morning to start putting the walls and tiles and shower and vanity in. They are not worried, but I admit I panic at times.
