What's the best product you've used

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Afternoon all, so some have said before about certain products they use, what's the best one that you wouldn't be without in your opinion.
Maybe the products changed & you've tried something else that's better, anything grits, minerals, supplements etc you've all tried things over the year's good or bad .
Regards Dave.

All things considered I believe that pigeon races are basically won by being the best prepared that you can be

For me, that meant I always wanted to have the pigeons recovered as fast as possible from a race so that they could start getting ready for next week

Recovery is everything - you can start "work" towards the next race

With that in mind, in my experience I would recommend this

https://pigeonvitality.com/product/rebuild-powder/

It's used in a number of lofts on a Saturday on return of a race, and sometimes a Sunday too

Along with all the modern feeds now available this is another mine field !! There are so many different products available now, most of which are pretty much the same, just different brand names. Over the years I have used both Aviform and Gem products, I've had some success using both, equally I've had some success using nothing, so do they work !! honestly, hand on heart I couldn't say. It's another of those that so many will use different products and all will swear that the one they use is the best.
This year I have used Gem Strike 2 weekly, as I find it helps to prevent or aid the recovery from YBS, although the birds don't particularly like it. I put cider vinegar and a small amount of Milton in the water, the milton is just to help prevent any cross contamination through the drinkers. I've also used Aviform's Dimethylform in the water during the week and their Electroform Saturday and Sunday plus Gem Multi Vits a couple of times a week. They also get Gem matrix or an equivalent once a week.
I've done ok, I was pleased with their performances from my chosen distance races, winning our longest race and getting 21/24 home, not done much from the shorter races , would they have done the same on just fresh water, who knows, would I have done more if I'd put in more effort to train them, probably. Will I ever get back the cost of all these products etc, definitely not lol
I do know that when the birds are basketed down the club for racing that they break their necks trying to get a drink, I think it's probably the only day of the week that they actually see, plain, fresh water lol   I also know that given the chance, that my birds would prefer to drink the dirty water from a bird bath, a puddle or the gutters rather than the expensive rubbish that's in the loft lol
What will I do next year !! Who knows, I'd like to say I'd just give them fresh water, but I'll probably do the same, as I'll be frightened not to lol
All the best.

Don’t use nothing apart from ACV occasionally and garlic so can’t comment.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

I am the same, I use very little medication, but I am a big believer in freshly crushed garlic and apple cider vinegar. I make a batch 3 times a week, they have one today.
After spending 6 months in a dirty old chook shed I did worm all my pigeons with Moxydectin and gave them a course of Emtryl, but I do that very infrequently. In fact, I was going through my files yesterday, and found the receipt for the last time I bought medications for the birds. Dated July 2014
