I was wondering if there is any advantage to the loft being light at night......?
Can’t think of any if it’s light all nightDiamond Dave wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 5:29 pm I was wondering if there is any advantage to the loft being light at night......?
Hi Dave. Unfortunately we can’t always have things the way we want. I think Neil’s idea of having a false ceiling that can be moved under the clear roof sheets is a good idea. Although the trees will cut out a fair bit of the sun during the day the false ceiling could be used to keep the light from the street light out at night.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

My first team went into my dark section with a aviary on that faces west
My 2nd team went in a nice bright section opposite facing east
The 2nd team are in the same flights as the first team
So as I don’t race darkness it has helped me by accident being dark but with the option of the aviary you could shut the ybs and hens out in it all day then push them in at night so they get some sun
