Last year We had a youngster clocked at 1824 meters per minute. She was the 2nd fastest pigeon in all of germany from over 120.000 pigeons. Made into the tauben-markt magazine etc. Definitely alot of pigeons missing there but still a great video !

The highest race speed recorded is one of 2952m 3229yd per min (177.14km/h 110.07mph) in the East Anglian Federation race from East Croydon, Surrey on 8 May 1965 when the 1428 birds were backed by a powerful south-south-west wind. The winner was owned by A. Vigeon & Son, Wickford, Essex.

That was a good result Leon, yes i saw that magazine. With the right conditions and a good strong wind they can get along alright.
