We have been informed that an extension is going to be added to the house at the end of our garden. The trouble is it’s right beside my loft. It won’t be a problem once built. Hopefully it will be done during the winter while the birds are shut in. If not I could have problems next year as they will be working beside the loft.

What they are doing is squaring up the house. So instead of being L shaped it will be square. The extension is going to have a flat roof on it. You can see how close to the loft it will be.

Hopefully it won't cause you any problems Andy, as long as they aren't actually working on race days !! Even then if the birds get used to the noise during the week it might not bother them on race day, it will give them another nice platform to sit up on though lol
My neighbours make all sorts of noise right next the loft, it drives me mad but the birds don't seem to bothered, I think having them on an open loft definitely helps with that.

Of course I have the pub garden next door so they are used to plenty of noise.
