Hi All.
I'm thinking of purchasing a new Bricon Speedy XXL, and was wondering how other people have got on with this clock?
Thanks,
David.
ETS Clock
I look forward to the feedback on this. What's better, Benzing or Bricon in people's opinion?

I use the old Bricon speedy and find it fine. Thinking of updating at some point will probably go for the new Bricon XXL. The downside with the Bricon was that you couldn’t continue clocking pigeons once the clock is removed. Not a problem if only having one race, but if racing long distance races on the same day it is. I think the XXL has this ability. It also sends you messages of arrivals. Good if you’re not at the loft. The other option is the Benzing. Being used more and looks a great system. What I’m not as keen on is with Benzing live you can see the timings of every other fancier on the system where ever their racing and they can see yours. I think it takes away a lot of the excitement of going down the club and not knowing how you or anyone else has done.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

on sprint racing it would kill the enjoyment
Distance fanciers still have the achievement factor of there bird flying 400 plus miles but on sprints if you find out your 5 min or so behind there is no achievement at all so your race is fine and dusted to early
I agree, I hate knowing when others are in before the result is printed, we have a couple of members who insist on discussing their arrival times as soon as they get to the club, I'm afraid they soon get both barrels from me lolNeilA wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 8:04 amI’m like you I never want to know times to I go to the clubAndy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 7:59 am I use the old Bricon speedy and find it fine. Our Club all use Unikon so I'm afraid I couldn't tell you anything about other systems, I do like the Unikon system, it does everything that I want it to do and for a technophobe like me is simple to use too.
There are several different systems used throughout the Fed but our Club like to keep it simple and just stick to one system for everyone.

The majority are Bricon.Trev wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 9:35 amOur Club all use Unikon so I'm afraid I couldn't tell you anything about other systems, I do like the Unikon system, it does everything that I want it to do and for a technophobe like me is simple to use too.

I’m the same David. I know mine is getting on and will upgrade rather than change the battery. They do do a good part exchange though.
