Yep same here Murray I can grow that even when I don’t want to I must have soil it likes where ever I sling out it shoots

Any tips on how to grow it? I did grow some in a tub in Bendigo but I want to grow quite a lot now I have a big garden.

I grew mine in a small raised bed Murray
I have had both purpose bought garlic for planting and tried supermarket just put about an inch half deep then I cover and add a little pigeon crap and forget it
Supermarket garlic also works but the
strike rate not so high
I am no great shakes at growing my sister is a much better so for it to work for me with little effort I may just have the right soil plus in the same bed I have spinach .lettuce marrows depending on the time of year and strawberry plants in that bed that just seem to work for me and need no work or effort just pure luck

Thanks Neil. I have tried growing it in a big pot, just cloves that were spouting in the onion bin. I do recall having a varied success rate. I think the pigeons were pulling the garlic out of the ground.
I've put some in the ground in the big shade house we have, been watering it twice a day, seems to be taking off! Just sprouted cloves from supermarket garlic.

I do find sometimes my cloves form into 3 rather than lots but that’s ok with me
I did put supermarket ones in a bucket of water for a few days then plant them that worked well

I use poultry spice too, I just put it on their morning feed. I also use a cider vinegar that has garlic added, the birds really don't like it much and would sooner drink dirty water from the garden given half a chance.

What does always make me smile on basketing nights is how quickly the birds go for the water when its put on the crates, I reckon it's the only day of the week that most of them ever get "Just Water".

I use apple cider vinegar Trev use to use avidress for years but changed for young birds just to keep the ph under 5 as avidress was always out of stock
I use 65ml to 10 litre
During the winter I add garlic to the drinker Thursday and just top up Friday remove and clean the drinker Saturday
Plus add pink mineral and spices to the grub every other day with flax oil
So not a lot different to your system for the winter just I buy the spices separately
