If you were following the news before the election you would have found Republicans were ready to file lawsuits if they lost. Strange all talk of rigging disappeared after they won. Even having won, No presidential transition agreement has yet signed by Trump?Murray wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:25 pm You blokes are all probably quite right, but the American people overwhelmingly rejected the alternative. And it's their country.
Actually, this hysteria about Trump being the end of the world has already been proven totally baseless. Remember, he was president from 2016 to 2020 when the Democrats rigged the election. And please don't get all offended and say they didn't. When he left the white house after 4 years everything was chugging along nicely. The world had not crashed to a halt. It won't this time either.
The only people who seem most upset are the far left. It's going to hamper their agenda no end. For the majority of us it will be life as usual, only easier.
If the US economy is going well the rest of the world seems to go well too. It did when he was in last time.

We should probably leave it there, it's a pigeon forum, not a political debate.
The whole thing beggars belief.
I agree, Trump is a loose cannon, so it shows just how terribly bad the alternative was for him to have such a mammoth victory. Kamala didn't even run a close second.

Trouble with politics is to many people can’t just accept others have a different view, and what we’ve seen in recent years is this them and us, with so many seeing politics as far left or far right of course it’s never that simplistic. I think what is true is that many people in the western democracy’s feel the system isn’t working for them, and with all the mis information on Social Media voters are turning to more extremes. Whether Trump is go or bad only time will tell, I suspect he won’t be as bad as many think, I also suspect many of his supports will end up being disappointed. One thing I would say Murray, is his victory is no where near as “mammoth” as many would have us believe. The electoral college system may give that impression, but only the yanks could come up with a system where it is possible for the candidate with the most votes to lose. Hilary Clinton had more votes than Trump in 2016 ( I didn’t hear Hilary shouting it was rigged) .Joe Bieden polled 8 million more votes than Trump in 2020, according to Trump it was rigged. Last time I looked Trump had polled about 4 million more votes than Harris, not heard anyone yet suggest it was rigged.Murray wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 11:57 pm We should probably leave it there, it's a pigeon forum, not a political debate.

Yep it's getting angry and personal. It started as a bit of banter, but of course it had to get nasty.
