had a thought that if any other members were interested I will have more youngsters hatching soon. I've got 3 pairs due to hatch next Friday/Saturday, and 3 pairs just laid.
The birds don't have to be in the loft until January 25th so we have lots of time.

I don't knock them because it is all a matter of choice. So, I was clearly stating a fact about my dealings with past topics on OLR. I did point out, don't knock them until you have tried them.Trev wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 9:24 amI wouldn't have said that Devo, you know we've always enjoyed supporting you and following the ones you've been involved in. Yes they aren't for everyone, partly because of the cost, but I know others love them and for some it's the only way they are able to participate in the sport.
With the disasters others have had, I'll learn from their mistakes.
Fair enough King, like I always say. And you are quite right, King, some of them are utter disasters. A complete waste of pigeons and money.king wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:09 pmDevo1956 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 9:47 amTrev, I have to agree with you about supporting me over the years, but a whole lot of people have already said they don't like OLR. The few good ones seem to be where the pigeons are trained properly, are educated and fit.
I heard of one last year where most of the pigeons were lost before the final and hardly any made it back from that. Total waste of time.
The bad ones seem to be where the people running it are too scared to train them in case they lose them. That's no good.
