Yea he has to be top class

He's a multi-performer in high class competition at a variety of distances against good birdage

So yes, he passes the acid test

And in my own experience every multi-performer ALWAYS went on to breed their like

I agree winners and not one offs you want multiple winners as many as you can get to the left of the pedigree is what you want not fancy names for sell on value
That’s if your in the sport for the Saturdays win
if your in it to buy pigeons sell pedigree then that’s a totally different thing

Mike would that be from Marks Red Bull family, I know you mentioned Gaby in it's breeding.
Thought that was a mixture of SVR, Sootjens not sure if I've spelt that right & another line i can't remember? all mixed to make this line. You'll correct me if I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Absolutely George, each to their own.

But by putting it up on an open forum Leon is making it available for public consumption and comment, and that's all a coiuple of us are doing.

The Sire looks a decent enough racer, he's scored well on several occasions. That's to be commended

The Dam herself appears to have done nothing herself (aa a breeder) - though she is direct from their very good mating of "Arturo" x "Tila"

The interesting thing is the reference to the money involved

I've seen in recent weeks far superior Leideman pigeons than that go for a lot less money than this

(G.Children of "GOED GRIJS" for £300.00) so we all have our own takes on what a bargain is

Whether he goes on to do well as a breeder only time will tell and I wish you all the best with him Leon

For me, based on the IMAGE ALONE I wouldn't have used him as a feeder.

Mike can I just say, your reply is very constructable, and you understand the buying game at its highest level. Like I have said you make a choice and pay your money, and it is your choice based on knowing what you need, to enrich the blood in your breeding, And good on Leon for having a go in this sport. for me I would praise this young flyer for having a go, Everyone do things different in this sport and have their own views, They are not there to be shot down over a post they make on the site. Like I have said good luck Leon, make it happen.

Mike I am sure if you put a post up on the site, saying how much you spent on the bird and about its breeding. You would not get the same response from members, so what is the difference.

Devo if Leon puts a pigeon on here and says what he paid and that he believes he will get his investment back or words to that effect and the pigeon looks a bag of shit surely we can say we don’t like the pigeon can’t we or do we all have to praise every pigeon Leon puts on as per your post or maybe we don’t post at all in reply not to upset anyone , I guess that the modern way now

I think the photo looks terrible and couldn’t careless if Leon spent £10 or 100k like I say money amounts in what I see as a hobby actually has the opposite on me and I would praise someone who spent little money but wins out of turn through skill and work rate rather than one that buys a pigeon for a few grand sticks the photo up on a public forum and then we can’t post that we don’t like the bird as you don’t think we should .
I would much rather see Leon take a photo of pigeons in his loft that have won or breeding winners without the need to mention money paid etc

I wouldn’t want to upset Leon but do think we should be allowed to give negative views rather than just praise and I wish him good luck with the bird
