in 50 and 60s i think most lofts had doweled fronts never saw one covered up also most were painted blue and white stripes

That was my first thought. A very traditional British loft. And a lovely job too.

Thanks Devo. It's not palatial and I wont be mob flying but I am certainly going to enjoy flying the birds to it.
They didnt take long to get used to and are trapping nicely to it.
