Possibly with the Bendigo club, they are racing from the west next year, so they could pick mine up on the way through. More to test mine than anything.

I am going to train a team of young birds, as much for the fun of it as anything, and if they can go with the Invitation club, all the better. If it's too hard, I'll go for a few long drives and give them some work.
I am pretty easy going about it. I've got pigeons in the Horsham race, I took some for David to race for me and I'm sending a couple to the OLR in Melbourne.
Besides that there's a bloke I sent 4 off the first round to, and I got a call from him today. After inquiring about each other's health, our family's health, wishing each other a Merry Christmas, there was an awkward pause.
I asked if he would like some more youngsters.
Oh yes please!
I've got 5 nest babies nearly standing up in the nest. So I said he could have 4 of those. He's driving 100 kilometres to get them when they are weaned.
I was planning on keeping them, but the Trillian Baby and Roadrunner are on eggs that might hatch on my birthday :D and the Billion Baby and the Zilzie Baby both laid their second eggs again today. So I have some more on order

Good luck with it all Murray, as long as you are enjoying what you, that's the main thing.

It’s a shame when no one wants the secretary job or the club gets too small. I have been secretary in 2 different clubs. It is far easier now than it used to be with modern technology. Used to take hours on a Sunday filling out results and sending them off to feds and combines. Having to then post them first thing Monday morning. Now it’s just the push of a button on Saturday night. Job done.
We have had two more new members this year, they are both older and have come from the Bognor club, I think Bognor has pretty much finished, again non one wanted to take over the running of it. We will be the same at some point, we have a strong club but I can't see anyone taking over from our current officials who are all retired. I'm probably one of our youngest members at 58 year old.

Yes Trev, I guess it is. I spent many years looking forward to retiring and racing pigeons, and it's all gone a little bit pear shaped. But I have a lot of time and a more laid back attitude, and we are all happy.
I bought a blue hen back from Bendigo a few weeks back, it was pretty wild. Now the wee Zilzie baby is on her second round of eggs, and is quite bonded onto me. It doesn't take long when you are happy and content, and so are your pigeons. :D
