The CSCFC have announced today that they are going to fly North for 2023.

CLASSIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2023 RACING FROM YOUR PRESIDENT & COMMITTEE
The Classic Committee have recently met to discuss 2023 racing. They are aware of the changes to procedures required by DEFRA for the club and the members. After a long discussion and considering the changes required and extra costs both for the club and the fancier it was unanimous that overseas racing was not viable at present. The Committee intend to formulate a North Road programme for 2023. Further information on dates and Race Points will be published following the AGM.

A nice early decision that at least let’s us decide what to do for next season. I had already decided that if one of the big clubs went North that would be the route I would fly as I’m not getting into DEFRA with all the other costs involved. If things change next year I may reconsider but as of now I intend to send North. This would still give us 2 races over 500 miles depending on the program. Thurso & Lerwick. The CSCFC have got a North road race for the youngsters from Ashbourne, 138 miles to me. I will probably send a few to this race. This is also an any age race so may well send most of the old birds just to give them an extra race and experience.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

Hooray!
At least you can sit down with a sheet of paper and map out a plan.
Doesn't mean the plan will work, but if you keep aiming at nothing, you are guaranteed to hit it. Now you have something to aim at.
Well done the committee of the CSCFC for a positive step..
Greetings from the land down under. :D
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for verily, he shall not be disappointed.

Thanks Buster. I’m going to go through them all today and will start training this week. If they are in the right condition I probably will send something of yours to the race.

Yes it's good to see them making this decision now, I hope they look at expanding their radius again then I would also join them for next season.
At least it gives you something to plan for now Andy 👍 Could you join the NRCC ??? Where would you nearest marking station be with them ??

I would think that for some races they will probably be convoyed by the NRCC. The CSCFC are also going to go with the Solent fed & Dorset fed so could be some good racing. Marking for the CSCFC would be where it has been at Standerwick Frome Market.

I don’t think I’d be in their radius. Nearest marking station would be either Nottingham or Cambridge. Both about 140 miles from me lol.
