We sometimes see a mention of a young pair of stock birds, and often young pigeons do breed very good racers.
This is the concept taken a bit further.
This grizzle cock is 34 days old, and the red pied hen is 37 days old. When I weaned the kit of babies last week they took a shine to each other and a week later they are inseparable.
This is good. The hen is a straight Thone' from an old hen I was hoping to get one last hen baby from. It's father is a straight Thone' which is the father of the late bred that won a race for me last year.
The grizzle cock is by my Grizzle Thone. Name all of Jos Thone's international winners, they are in his pedigree.
The hen is the Billion Dollar Baby.
I should be sending him and his sister to the OLR next week. His sister can go, they like hens there anyway. And she's good enough to win some money. The Billion Baby youngsters win races. Paired to the Grizzle, we might do alright. ;)
The Yonge Grijs 24 and Pippi ( My wife named her) are a very young stock pair. :D

It was quite by accident and I was just having a laugh, but do think that might be exactly what they are. They are totally devoted to each other, and they are 5 weeks old!

Very nice looking pair there Murray, you have made a good choice in my thinking. Its knowing your birds when coming to breeding. so go with the flow of your knowledge of the breeding of these birds. You may get some future fire crackers mate.
