Propositions -
The number of birds per crate cocks & hens will be 13 for both OB and YB - All in favour
OB & YB,s may be entered as trainers in any race, basketed separately - All in favour
The OB programme will being the same direction as YB programme flown previous year - All in favour except GFC

Race Programme
OB will be East to West starting 19th April 25 (as per rule above being passed)
So only YB voted on
YB will be SW starting 26th July 25 - 14 for 7 against (caused some controversy 😬)

This means that the longest old bird race for us would be Eastbourne 118 miles to me for 1 race all the rest at under 100 miles and 7 races at 34 miles. Can’t see many of our club flying with the combine. I will probably leave the combine and just race with the 3 counties.
Isn't racing North an option?

I don't really understand why we've ended up in the same position so the committee or representative of the Combine have just shot themselves in the foot yet again by excepting a very poor race program, I was in 2 minds as to if I wanted to carry on before this AGM with the pigeons, got to say at this moment in time I feel very let down by the whole outcome, what's the point of going 34 mls/ 120mls E to W, & then to race out down the leg into Cornwall the following year a completely different route that's just a stupid rule.
Whereabouts are you Dave in comparison to say Street? Just wondering whether you could join us and fly with the 3 counties.
I will almost certainly resign from the WOESRC now and just fly with the 3 counties.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

It’s been suggested a few times King and even had proposed North road programs. Not much enthusiasm for it though and always gets voted out. I would like to go North. There is a North road Lerwick club but they mark in Bristol, an hour plus from me. They have said that they are willing to have open races from Thurso & Lerwick but that would mean switching birds that probably haven’t flown more than 150 miles East to West 500 to 600 miles North. The trouble is there are a lot of fanciers down this way that just use the WOESRC as trainers for the nationals and classics so don’t want much distance each week.
