Sorry I am new on here so I hope I am following the correct etiquette but I hope someone can help me. I raced pigeons from the age of 14 until I got married when I had to give up, I thought I would have a go at the RPRA one loft to get my hand back in and progress from there. I have entered a pair and thought it would be quite easy to purchase a couple of birds to fulfil my entry. I couldn't have been more wrong. I must have contacted 6 studs that advertise on the web and not one has bothered to reply. I'm not after something as I am aware of the costs involved and am prepared to pay good money. If someone could suggest somewhere I could go to it would be very much appreciated. I would be looking for direct children of winners or from proven breeders or a close proven family not from birds that have never flown
Hi Dave
Welcome to the Forum
You could do a lot worse than approach Neil Andrews on here
Neil's a talented sprinter who flies and demands the best of his birds
Failing that, let me know and i've a few guys who would help you out.
I can say that with confidence because I'll tell them to help!

Thanks really appreciated. I was getting really disappointed with radio silence from the "Top Studs" it wouldn't have taken them 5 minutes to say "we cant help" but nothing
That’s very kind considering your connectionsMIL wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 2:03 pm Hi Dave

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum and back to the sport.
Good luck with your venture, I hope you get what you are looking for and that it goes well for you. Please keep us updated as to how things are progressing.
It's bad that the studs you've contacted haven't bothered getting back to you !! I'm sure that between Mike and Neil they will find something suitable for you.
All the best.

Lee is going to help me I'm so relived as I was getting nowhere. Things have changed since I was in the old strains seem to be gone Dordins,. Verhey, Cattryse (sorry about spelling) . The head lines were when Shy Lass a Bussharet hen as I remember sold for £4200 an unbelievable figure at that time. They used to say if you keep your clocks you are coming back in sell them and your gone. Well I still have all three of mine so I guess they were right
but I think they would be pretty redundant now
