Today like many times i changed around a few things on my setup for the pictures of the pigeons. As per usual after it was time to go in the loft and look for someone to be my model for the day. I realized that 99% of the pigeons already have a pretty recent picture besides 1 The pigeon where it all started with for me my first one. Unfortunately he doesn't fertilize anymore since 2 years but I still have 1 daughter (Luckily I kept it because it was his actual last one ever) from him thats been a fantastic breeder for me. He still gets a box with his hen every year just incase theres a small chance for a single fertilized egg
he will stay until the last breath in our loft because i connect alot of memories with him because he got me where i am at now.

I remember we had a chat about this bird, and since then i have seen so many readings about Ares. I need to get back over to Germany. and visit your loft again this year. Your pairings for this year are looking quality once again Leon.

Unfortunately he did breed his last youngster in 2021 a slatey hen. After that in 2022 he only fertilized 1 egg which unfortunately broke. It is quiet young to go infertile but i guess it hits some earlier then others

Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
Topics like this is good for all members to remember, where it all started. I am sure there are members with good memories, thanks Leon for a good start to this topic. My question to you is where would you like your venture to go? we sat and had a good chat about the difference in family lines of birds. And we both agreed on in Germany, most flyers are so use to household names, they see no reason for change.
