I see it quite often Murray where people say they've done this and they've done that - but I see no real evidence of it though
At least when I say a pigeon has done this I evidence it

They were all Van Den Bosche Neil; the Blue Nantes cock had a Meuleman Janssen father though (that I paid £15 for)
The first one was a cock I called "Big Daddy Cool". He was a proper unit. Too big really.
He came along at just the right time I guess because if he was born in say 91 or 92 he'd have struggled to make the team
But he was a good 'un sure enough.
That 47 member Open Race he won was a 1 Bird Race. Each member pays £10 entry and only allowed to send 1 pigeon
Best v Best. Man v Man. No room for error. Get it wrong and you're late.
The majority of those races I went into I won.
Yes 100% agree. When selling these photo fit pics should NOT be allowed. Before I left for Germany the last trip. I was working on where I wanted to buy birds from for the German classic OLR. I had offers from top flyers over there to breed me some youngsters. In the end I chose to Visit Christoph and Leon, and I do feel I chose well. I would say a great family to visit , and top quality birds to choose from. I have to add, very nice a visit I enjoyed and sharing information about the sport in different countries.....NeilA wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 9:34 am
Trouble is most sales on the internet are 5 day jobs so your trusting a fake photo if your buying that way which I think most do these days .
I would say just on the two main auction sites here 100’s are sold weekly and I don’t see many people doing the loft visits in the time frame
I have fell for it myself I moved one on within 3 hours of the box arriving more fool me
I don’t mean I dislike any particular fanciers fake photos Devo I wasn’t even thinking of Leon
I just don’t think they should be used for internet only sales
I couldn’t care what people hang on there wall they can colour them
In however they like but selling is different to me
King that is why I stated, if I see a bird I feel I would like, a visit to the loft to check bird before I buy it.king wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 2:54 pmYes 100% agree. We are looking for what we feel is the best for our loft to enrich the blood, and hopefully breed future winners and breeders. So people go about it in different ways, I would say still promoting the sport.
Example of this photo, would this photo entice you to pick up the phone and enquire..
It does make sense Maybe because i understand everything on it because some is german but at the same time it is very badly made to understand. Basically That picture is a breeding couple and to my understanding then hen on the right is a daughter of sanjay 2015 SAMDPR Winner the cock on the left has nothing to do with sanjay at all but yeah its very badly made and easily missunderstood and unclear i definitely agreeAndy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 4:29 pmDevo1956 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 9:24 am Just a question to members, over the past years we have seen different racing pigeons online, in books and magazines. No not at all Devo. That photo doesn’t even make sense. Firstly it suggests that the are a foundation pair, one youngster possibly mentioned. Looking at it it says the cock is a 2019 bird and the hen a 2020 bird. Yet it’s suggesting that they produced the winner of the 2015 one million dollar race?? How can that be.
Thanks for clearing that up Leon.Spieker-Loft wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 4:35 pmIt does make sense Maybe because i understand everything on it because some is german but at the same time it is very badly made to understand.
