99% of the time I used Gem on the Feed and never in the water
1. You aren't diluting it
2. You aren't tossing it away after "x" amount of hours
3. Adding to the feed the birds get the full nutritional value of the product
4. There's no waste
5. As such its more cost-effective on the feed
You can let it dry naturally by stirring it occasionally, but I always used a "drying agent" like Strike on top of the Gem to help it dry quicker
Neil's right, a smart way these days for pigeons to get protein into their system (and let's face it its imperative for muscle repair) is instead of feeding a high protein mixture you can run with a powder that offers great protein like Immunol or Probac 1000

Their father is the Roadrunner. He's a son of top breeder Hawkeye.
Their mother is the Trillian, she's a daughter of the Hawkeye.
Her mother is, too difficult to explain. Best of the best of the best etc etc.
Anyway, they went to another loft, I hope they do well
