Good luck with it alljanik wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 4:10 pm H i I am from North East Scotland and fly with the North of Scotland fed. I kept birds for 15 years but gave up 45 years ago. I started racing again a couple of years ago with a two section twelve foot loft .As i only have a small loft i have to fly natural and can not keep stock birds or fly widowhood so i can not compete with the sprinters but hope to be able to compete at longer distance.
For our new members.
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud

45 years is a long time away Janik. Welcome back!janik wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 4:10 pm H i I am from North East Scotland and fly with the North of Scotland fed. You’ll find a lot has changed
The most worrying part is the huge impact that BoP now has on the game. It’s literally killing it. On a positive note you’ll find that fit, healthy birds with a desire to get home are the ones that win races, and thats the same regardless of distance really
You’ll find there’s been huge changes to pigeon feed too, and you can feed a thousand different ways. Just remember whether you sprint or do distance you have to fuel the pigeon for the task in hand
Being short on room is no bad thing. Hopefully only the best survive and in turn they will be breeding the YB team. Because you are restricted on room there’s naturally less likelihood to carry those that don’t pull their weight / pets
Hi Janek, thanks for the introduction.
I'm in the same situation, I have always been a small loft man and my current loft is very small. It works fine if you concentrate on quality.
I wish you the very best and look forward to news on how things progress.
