We must have had the same as we had a meeting early February
RPRA Rule Changes
This is an extract from the SW region secretary email of 10th January to a SW region Club..
'The RPRA SW Region have considered the proposition from Paulton HS to accept the Hall report. The decision has been made by the Region not to accept the Proposition. The reasons for the decision are that the Hall report is several years old and has already been voted on and rejected by the RPRA at the previous AGM.'
So they refused to accept a proposal that had been submitted in accordance with the rules etc and refused to provide SW region members with an opportunity to vote on such a proposal. The content of the email was wrong in so many ways.
The Hall report was never rejected by the RPRA at a AGM. There was never a vote by the RPRA members on the content of the report and therefore the RPRA never had a say. What they should have said is the RPRA COUNCIL rejected it.
The region cannot have decided to not accept the proposition as the region (ie mandated delegates of clubs) have not had the opportunity to reject or accept. The region committee are NOT the region and this was a clear abuse of 'power'.

I'm afraid I'm completely out of the loop with this thread, I can't remember being asked by our club, or region to vote on anything, let alone know which way they voted.
I'm afraid I am very guilty of not getting involved in politics of any kind, I don't understand it so just go with the flow and let those above my pay grade make the decisions, all I want to do is enjoy my birds.

This is the email received by all clubs in the SW region 09/02/2025.
Dear Secretary's
A meeting of the RPRA SW Region will be held on Thursday 20th February 2025 at the Sartan Club, Queens Road, Bishopsworth, Bristol. BS13 8LF. Meeting will commence at 7pm.
This is an important meeting to vote on the RPRA Propositions.
All clubs should have a meeting so members can vote on the propositions. It is hoped that each club will then send a delegate to the SW Region meeting so they can vote on the club's behalf.
These votes will then go forward to the RPRA AGM.
I have attached the propositions.
Sue Thompson
SW Region Secretary
At that meeting the vote for the propositions from the Welsh & EM regions.

We were asked to vote at our club with the fed but nothing was really clearly explained as I’m not sure anyone new
I don’t have Facebook or anything and that seems popular for information
I haven’t had a BHW for ages . The Rpra website maybe , would you get both sides there with explanations ? I don’t know not looked
What work done by the regions will need to be done by staff ?
