Littlehampton RPC 63rd annual dinner and prize giving.

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Last Saturday, 22nd February, the Littlehampton RPC had its 63rd 63rd annual dinner and prize presentation for the 2024 racing season.
It was held at the Frankland arms in Washington village, West Sussex, it was a very pleasant evening with good food and good company. We had about 10 of our 15 flying members present with several guests and a couple of non flying members also there, our guest of honour was former pigeon man and long standing friend of Andy's and mine, Brian Doick with his wife Sheila.
The photos below show how who the winners were and the points scored, as you can see Alan Still was well out in front, with Alan Akemenkalns not far behind and Danny Porter in 3rd overall, these 3 fanciers also took their fair share of 1st Federations too. So a big well done to those guys, sadly young Danny, who has only been in the sport for a few seasons has had to leave the sport due to personal reasons. I wish him well and hope to se him back in the sport at some time in the future.
My two winners were from our longest old bird race and our longest youngbird race, the winner of the longest old bird race was also 4th club from our 2nd longest old bird race, he is a yearling out of a cock bird from Brian Doick and a Hen from our late Worthing and District HS Secretary, Roy Olliver.
The winner of the longest youngbird race, was also 2nd club 3rd Federation from Bovingdon two weeks later. She is out of a bred for me by "Buster" crossed with a cock bird from Rich Gould, another former forum member.

I've rejoined the BICC for the 2025 season so am looking forward to getting in a few more distance races.

Whatever your goals are, good luck to you all for 2025.
